October 9th was a historic day in the history of our city and country when, 250 years ago, the Mission of Saint Francis dedicated. On October 10th, our faculty and musicians teamed up with the Benedict XVI Institute to present the music for a Votive Mass for St. Francis, featuring the newly-revised Missa Sancti JunÃperi Serra by our faculty member Dr. Frank La Rocca to celebrate this important moment in the life of our archdiocese. The celebrant of the Mass, Archbishop of Cordileone, was joined by the papal nuncio to the U.S. and Bishop Barber (Oakland). Drs. Berry and Donelson-Nowicka directed the Mass with choir, orchestra, and schola. Check it out here if you missed it.
Saint Francis, pray for our archdiocese, our city, and our country. May we always be your faithful sons and daughters!
